Red Dead Redemption 2 is here and it's the game everyone is talking about.

The hotly-anticipated open world game has been eight years in the making and was released at midnight on Friday, October 26.

It is Rockstar Games' first major release since Grand Theft Auto V in 2013 and has already received rave reviews and plaudits.

Its predecessor broke all sorts of records when it was released in 2010 and was highly praised for its visuals, gameplay, acting and storyline.

Now, with the long-awaited sequel out, we take a look at what you can do to buy the game.

What do we know about Red Dead Redemption 2?

The game is set in 1899, 12 years before Red Dead Redemption during the last few years of the American Old West.

Gamers will play outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang of which John Marston, the hero of last year's story, was also a member of.

As you'd expect from a game by the makers of Grand Theft Auto, players will explore an enormous and interactive open-world map.

And much like the previous game, an honour system will affect how you are seen by others, while building up relationships with fellow outlaws, the public and even your horse will be vital as in-game actions will have repercussions later on.
