This past week, a group of Trion High Students embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Spain and France.
The trip began in Madrid, Spain, where the students spent three days learning and immersing themselves in the culture. Madrid highlights included Plaza de Mayor, The Spanish Royal Palace, and Park de Retiro.
From Madrid, the group headed for a night in the beautiful coastal city of San Sebastian, Spain. In San Sebastian, they learned about the Basque culture and how to play the cultural game, J’ai alai.
The next morning, everyone crossed the border into France and had lunch in the beach town of Biarritz, France. After lunch, they drove to Bordeaux, France, and toured the historic riverside city.
For the final three days, the group went to Paris, France. The group could see the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre Museum in Paris. These students had the chance to learn the French language and customs.
