Manchester United will be hoping to exact revenge in the Premier League against a Spurs side who beat the Reds 6-1 at Old Trafford earlier this season.

United will be without Anthony Martial against Spurs, with the Frenchman also missing their midweek European game against Granada after suffering an injury on international duty, with Phil Jones and Eric Bailly also ruled out on Sunday.

The Reds could name the same team who beat Brighton last time out in the Premier League, with Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood, Fred and Dean Henderson all expected to return to the starting lineup.

So, what team could Solskjaer go with against Spurs? And, what could the final score be?

We used FIFA 21 to get a unique score prediction.

We simulated Tottenham vs Manchester United to get a score prediction

To set up this simulation, we used kick-off mode within FIFA 21 but didn't select a team to control; we then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a prediction.

The AI difficulty was set to legendary, with the line-up updated with the latest transfers, injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Spurs could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Rodon, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Ndombele; Lucas, Lo Celso, Son; Kane.

We predict that United could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Henderson, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Fernandes, Fred, Pogba; Greenwood, Cavani, Rashford.

This simulated game played out pretty much as most would expect, with United having the majority of possession and Spurs happy to sit back and hit the away side on the counter-attack, using the pace of Son and Lucas Moura on the break.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side managed Spurs' threat very well in the first half, but this also meant that they didn't really create any chances of their own either.

In the second half, United began to push more men forwards in search of an opening goal.

And just after the hour-mark, they got the goal that their play and possession deserved.

Paul Pogba skipped past a challenge in the middle of the pitch and pinged a ball out to Marcus Rashford, who beat Serge Aurier, cut inside and curled a brilliant effort into Hugo Lloris far post.

United could have made it 2-0 just a few minutes later, with Rashford again unleashing a curling effort, but this time Lloris was able to tip his effort wide of the post.

Overall, the away side dominated this game and fully deserved their one-goal win.
