Xbox Series X unveiled by Microsoft at Game Awards

The Microsoft Corporation on Friday unveiled its next-generation Xbox series' name and console design.

Microsoft revealed the video game console called the Xbox Series X on the stage at the Game Awards.

The Xbox Series X will be released during the 2020 holiday season.

The new game looks far like a PC tower unlike its predecessor Xbox One X, which was launched in 2013. Its improved version — the Xbox One S was revealed in 2016 and later the company unveiled the One X in 2017.

According to the company, Xbox Series X will be the fastest, most powerful console ever and set a new bar for performance, speed and compatibility, allowing the player to bring gaming legacy, thousands of games from three generations and more forward.

Xbox Series X industrial design enables to deliver four times the processing power of Xbox One X in the most quiet and efficient way.

Its design will also support both vertical and horizontal orientation.

Xbox Series X is also designed for a future in the cloud, with unique capabilities built into the hardware and software to make it as easy as possible to bring great games to both console and elsewhere.

The price of the console has not yet been announced.

Alongside Xbox Series X, Microsoft also unveiled the new Xbox Wireless Controller.
