The complete UFC 232 fight card will air later this evening (Sat., Dec. 29, 2018) on two different stations -- FOX Sports 1 and pay-per-view (PPV) -- as well as online via “Fight Pass” digital network. UFC 232’s “Prelims” undercard will begin at 6:15 p.m. ET online via “Fight Pass” before transitioning to the FOX Sports 1 television station at 8 p.m. ET (programming details). Once the UFC 232 undercard is complete inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., the face-punching action will pick up on PPV at 10 p.m. ET, starting with an explosive Featherweight showdown between perennial title contender, Chad Mendes (No. 5), looking to get back in the championship chase at the expense of No. 10-ranked contemporary, Alexander Volkanovski. Then it’s a clash between Top 1-ranked Light Heavyweight standouts Ilir Latifi (No. 5) and Corey Anderson (No. 10), the winner of which will look to make a run toward the top of the 205-pound heap in 2019.
Leading UFC 232’s charge is, of course, former Light Heavyweight champion, Jon “Picogram” Jones, who is returning from yet another drug-related hiatus to rematch Alexander Gustafsson for the 205-pound title that Daniel Cormier recently vacated. As is often the case whenever “Bones” competes, major drama has enveloped him in the lead up to the bout, forcing an unprecedented last-minute venue shift from Las Vegas, Nevada, to “The Golden State.” But, is normal ... no, really. Meanwhile, in UFC 232’s co-main event, the best female fighters on Earth, Bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes and her Featherweight counterpart Cris Cyborg, will lock ‘em up in UFC’s first-ever female “Champion vs. Champion” showdown for 145-pound world title.
