Microsoft has announced February's Games with Gold titles.

The February games will go live from next week, replacing the titles available in January (you can see what these are at the bottom of the page).

On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Shadow Warrior for free during the month of February. Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India will be available as a free download from February 16th to March 15th.

On Xbox 360, starting February 1st, Split/Second will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through February 15th. Then on February 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Crazy Taxi for free through February 28th.

You can also check out our gallery below for screenshots of the titles, too.

ORIGINAL STORY - Xbox fans are desperately waiting for Microsoft and Major Nelson to announce the new Games with Gold titles for February 2018.

For the previous three months, Major Nelson and Microsoft have announced the news on the 22nd of each month, but this isn't set in stone.

In some incidents, Microsoft has announced the news as late as the 27th, although that particular month was during E3 week, so a delay to the news was sort of expected.

As mentioned, fans will be hoping that the announcement comes today, especially with it giving lazy users enough time to remember to download the existing batch of games that are currently on offer.

There's also no leaks to date which could give fans even a morsel of info as to which titles could be on offer.

That being said, assuming Microsoft and Major Nelson announced the news today, it's likely the big reveal won't come until around 4pm. Bar the odd month when the titles have leaked, 4PM (GMT) has been the usual time for Microsoft to release the news.

With that in mind, stay tuned for details in the coming hours. Unless Xbox fans get another bowl of disappointment. At which point Microsoft will surely have no alternative but to announce tomorrow. Either way, the news is just around the corner.

For those unfamiliar with how Games with Gold works - perhaps for anyone who only got their first Xbox at Christmas - here's a quick explainer:

Every month Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games – two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360.

Typically, Games With Gold includes two titles available for a period of two weeks and another two available for a month. It can get confusing and you don't want to accidentally miss out on downloading a great game, so it's worth marking the dates down on your calendar to ensure you don't miss out.

Equally, you shouldn't forget that two of the games included are from the Xbox 360 era, and that means both titles can be played on your Xbox One thanks to the console's backwards compatibility features.

Plus, now that the Xbox One has a dedicated Xbox 360 backwards compatibility store, you can easily search for, find, and download these games should you forget to download them for free during Games with Gold.

Currently, Xbox One owners with an active Xbox Live Gold membership can download three great games for absolutely free.

Throughout October Xbox Live Gold members can download "the emotionally gripping first-person narrative adventure" Gone Home for the Xbox One.

In addition, fans can also download challenging sci-fi puzzle game The Turing Test all the way until November 15th.

Lastly, there's Medal of Honor: Airborne which might be a nice way to warm up ahead of the Call of Duty WW2 release next month.

Just to be clear, here are the remaining Games with Gold titles up for grabs and the dates for when you can download them.
