Red Dead Redemption 2 was intended to come out in 2017, but Rockstar being Rockstar, delayed the game to give the developers some extra time to finish the game.

But given what we know about Rockstar and the incredible level of quality they bring to their games, it's no doubt that these extra few months will be worth it. Equally, there's no denying that Red Dead 2, will probably take the crown as the 2018 game of the year.

However, it's still without a release date, with Rockstar only going as far to promising a 2018 release.

Thankfully, Amazon's Mexican arm might have helped provide fans with a rough time frame for when its coming, having accidentally published a release date for Red Dead Redemption 2 online.

You can see a screengrab of the image in this article, should Amazon happen to delist or edit the page.

According to the listing, the game will be coming out on July 12 - earlier than most people were expecting.

Of course, it's possible that this listing is simply a placeholder, featuring dates held in the system for every new entry.

It's remarkably specific, though: sometimes placeholders will fall on April 1st or other dates pertaining to the financial year.

So it's worth taking with a pinch of salt but for now this is the most information we have to go on.

This month, Nintendo Switch fans have been (rightly) excited by rumours of GTA 5 making it's way to Nintendo's hybrid console.

Reddit user DasVergeben was one such indvidual making the claim and whilst he has a patchy rep for leaks and predictions, he has, at times, accurately predicted some info such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DLC for Injustice 2.

Unfortunately, the rumours fell flat when instead, the Dark Souls remaster was revealed during the January Nintendo Direct Mini earlier this month.

However, that's possibly not the end to this rather hopefull story.

Considering we already had a Direct Mini in mid-January, some fans think maybe Nintendo isn't set to reveal anything else until later in the year, perhaps closer to E3.

However, Nintendo Minis have traditionally preceded larger Directs - sometimes with a Mini dropping only a single day before a bigger showcase.

The longest gap between a Nintendo Mini Direct and a full Direct, though, is only 20 days... meaning we could be seeing more information on the new slate of games from the company within the next two weeks.

So while it's still not certain by any means, there is still hope for fans wanting to play as Michael, Franklin and Trevor whilst on the go with their Switch.

Finally for this week, it's worth mentioning that GTA 5 was once again back at No.1 in the UK charts, 226 weeks after it first came out.

There's no doubt though that part of the reason for the games continued success is due to the popularity of GTA Online and Rockstar's never-ending stream of DLC content available for the games online portion.

And this week also saw another content update for GTA 5 Online for PS4, Xbox One and PC, adding a new car from Legendary Motorsport, the Grotti GT500 Sports Classic.

In addition to this, Rockstar also added Air Quota, a new team-based Adversary Mode and aerial assault that pits up to 4 teams and 16 players against each other as they morph through different aircraft, including the P-996 Lazer, Thruster, and more. From now until January 22nd, Air Quota will be delivering Double GTA$ & RP.

Last but not least, there's also further bonuses on Maze Bank Foreclosures, where massive discounts on Facility upgrades can be found.
