The first gaming Black Friday 2017 deal has been revealed, after Capcom teased a potential discount during a quarterly financial briefing.

Ahead of the actual day - which this year will take place on November 24 - Capcom has announced that it will be discounting one of its biggest products.

In the quarterly financial briefing, the publisher and developer announced that it would be enacting discounts on Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite to ensure the game reaches its target of 2,000,000 units shipped by the end of its first full year on sale.

"Given its current sell-through, how likely is Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite to achieve its full-year target of 2 million units sold?" asks one question in the published briefing.

"First-half results for this title are in line with our expectations. Going forward, we aim to achieve its full-year target by releasing additional characters, along with holding promotions for the title during Black Friday and the holiday season."

This means you can likely expect the game to be heavily discounted on the run up to November 24 on both PS4 and Xbox One digital storefronts.

You can also expect the game to be discounted in physical stores, too.

There are more gaming-related Black Friday deals starting to crop up, too.

BLACK FRIDAY 2017: First PS4 and Xbox One deals REVEALED

Though not specifically Black Friday related, another BIG UK retailer has recently started heavily discounting gaming products after Tesco unveiled a rather amazing offer for anyone looking to buy a Nintendo Switch.

This new Nintendo Switch Super Mario Odyssey bundle features a digital copy of the game - a potential game of the year contender - and a pair of Red Joy-Cons all for £329.99.

However, at Tesco Direct now, you can pick up that bundle for the same price - but you’ll also get Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle thrown in for FREE.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle normally costs £44 from Tesco Direct, so it's by no means chump change that your saving.

Equally, both games are easily two of the top ten games released for Nintendo Switch so far this year.

Black Friday, which takes place on the day after Thanksgiving, falls on November 24 this year.

Many deals will appear online as soon as the clock strikes midnight, while a majority of UK’s high street retailers will open at 6am.

The shopping bonanza will last all weekend, and is followed by Black Friday’s online equivalent Cyber Monday on November 27.

Cyber Monday has been identified the busiest day of the year for online shopping, and in 2017 it's expected to be Monday 27 November immediately following Black Friday.

So you're going to want to make sure you save some money over the weekend to take advantage of some of the best deals of the year online, from retailers like Amazon, ASOS, eBay, GAME and more.
