Forza Horizon 3 (XO) - you can almost taste the Vegemite
Forza Horizon 3 – the last game was set in Australia

Microsoft seems to have leaked one of its own secrets for E3, with rumours suggesting either a Japanese or African setting.

It’s probably the most easily guessable unveil in the world, but the head of Xbox in Spain and Portugal has seemingly confirmed that Forza Horizon 4 will be announced at E3 in June.

Microsoft has been releasing a new Forza every year since 2011, alternating between the original Forza Motorsport games and the more arcadey Forza Horizon titles.

It’s Forza Horizon’s turn this year and according to Microsoft’s Fernanda Delgado, ‘There have been many speculations about where the next Forza Horizon will be and that is what we will tell later at E3’.

According to DSOGaming Delgado made the remarks to Spanish website Gamereactor, although the original story seems to have been taken down.

Which makes sense if it’s true because we’re pretty sure Microsoft didn’t want the game being revealed in such an off-hand manner.

It would be more surprising if it wasn’t true though and the real question is where the game will be set, with previous rumours suggesting Japan and Africa as the frontrunners.

One complication though is that Forza Horizon developer Playground Games is heavily rumoured to be working on a new Fable game, which is also likely to be revealed at E3.

So whether they’re also doing Forza, or if it’ll be another studio working on the game, remains to be seen.
