A 27-year-old high school teacher has been arrested by authorities in Florida for sending nude photos and sexually explicit texts to a 15-year-old boy she met through Xbox One, police said on Tuesday.
Robin Dunlap, who works at Haines City High School in Haines City, Florida, voluntarily turned herself in to Winter Haven police when she learned that she had allegedly sent sexually explicit texts to a 15-year-old boy from Texas.
Initially, she told police she was led to believe that the boy whom she sent nude photos of herself was 19 years old, according to the Winter Haven Police Department.
Dunlap told police that the two initially began chatting online over Xbox One.

Police said the boy's mother noticed the conversations on her son's phone and called Dunlap to inform her that he was 15 years old, and not 19
The conversations eventually moved to Kik, an instant messaging app that uses a smartphone’s data plan or WiFi to send a receive texts, photos, videos, and sketches.
When the mother of the victim checked her son’s phone, she saw the explicit conversations with Dunlap.
The mother then contacted Dunlap and informed her that her son was 15 years old.
Police said that after the mother called, Dunlap decided to turn herself in on September 18.
Over a month later, police learned from the boy’s father that Dunlap and the boy continued to exchange messages via Google Hangout.

Police in both Florida and Texas investigated the matter and confirmed through the boy’s cell phone that the conversations continued even after Dunlap was made aware of the boy’s real age.
On Sunday, investigators went to Dunlap’s home and confronted her with the new evidence.
Police said Dunlap did not deny the conversations with the boy. She told authorities that the two continued to communicate because she was the only person who understood him.
Dunlap then allowed detectives to look at her phones, which allegedly contained sexually explicit texts that were dated between November 26 and December 11.
Police determined that since Dunlap was aware that the boy was a minor, she was placed under arrest and charged with transmitting material harmful to a minor.
‘There is absolutely no excuse for an adult - especially a high school teacher - to continue sexually explicit conversations with a 15 year-old long after his real age is revealed,’ said Chief Charlie Bird.
‘The vulnerable age of this victim and the fact that this woman took advantage of him for her own personal needs is inexcusable.’
