PUBG on Xbox One receives first update to fix bugs and improve performance

With PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds having made its way to the Xbox One in preview form roughly a week ago, the launch hasn't been without teething issues, including problems concerning a somewhat poor frame rate performance. While it seems that the Xbox port has a fair way to go in terms of optimization, PUBG Corp, a new company spun off from Bluehole Studios, has released the first update for the game which tackles a number of bugs, refines UI elements and in-game animations, and makes an initial attempt at improving performance.

Although the Xbox One version of the game may be rather rough around the edges, Microsoft is sweetening the deal for those looking to buy the Xbox One X by throwing in a free copy of the game. However, to take advantage of the deal, you'll need to purchase the console before the end of this year. Otherwise, you can pick a copy of PUBG for $29.99 in the US.

The update went live at 1 AM Pacific Standard Time, so if the update has not begun to automatically download, the developer is recommending a reboot of the console to kick off the process. Once you get up and running, you might also consider giving your feedback to PUBG Corp via their forums.
