LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Early voting is underway in Indiana ahead of Tuesday’s primary election.

The governor’s race headlines the ballot since Republican Governor Eric Holcomb has reached his term limit and can’t run for re-election.

Six Republicans are looking to fill the governor’s seat: Mike Braun, the current junior U.S. senator from Indiana; Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch; former secretary of commerce Eric Doden; Fort Wayne entrepreneur Brad Chambers; former Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill; and Jamie Reitenour, a stay-at-home mother.

Holcomb has not endorsed a candidate in the election.

The winner of the GOP primary will face sole Democratic candidate Jennifer McCormick and Libertarian nominee Donald Rainwater.

Ballots for Indiana’s primary will also include the presidential race, but the results have already been decided. Democrat Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump have already secured their parties’ nominations.
