Xbox has announced the four games it will give away to players for free through December.

The month's Games with Gold include QUBE 2 and Never Alone, as well as other titles for the Xbox 360.

All of the games are free to anyone with Xbox Live Gold, the premium subscription service needed to play online as well as other benefits.

QUBE 2 will be available throughout December, from the beginning to the end of the month.

"In this mysterious puzzler, you awaken in the ruins of an ancient alien landscape with no memory of how or why you got there," Xbox writes in its description. "Navigate through mind-bending puzzles and use your manipulation-gloves to change the structure of the world to find your way back home. As you explore, you’ll face thought-provoking questions of your true purpose, with a devastating truth that will shake your world."

Never Alone will become available on 16 December and will be free until 15 January.

"Delve into the rich lore and culture of the Iñupiat people in this unique adventure game," its description reads. "Nominated for multiple awards and built in partnership with the Alaska Native community, play as a young Iñupiat girl and an arctic fox to find the source of the eternal blizzard which threatens everything. Encounter traditional native characters, share their wisdom and stories, and experience a game like no other."

On the Xbox 360, Microsoft will also give away Dragon Age II and then Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction in the second half of the month. Both those games will also work on the Xbox One.
