It's release day for Assassin's Creed Origin's first DLC, The Hidden Ones.

Ubisoft still hasn't been forthcoming on an official release time for the game, but for some (looking at Reddit), the content is already available.

Stay tuned for further details as they emerge and in the meantime take a look at what's in store for you with the official launch trailer above.

ORIGINAL STORY - Assassin's Creed Origin's was one of the surprise hits of 2017, which might sound crazy, given that this is Assassin's Creed we're talking about. One of the biggest gaming franchises ever made.

But after taking a year off, we doubt many could have predicted just how incredible the final result would have been.

Thankfully, for those dying for a little bit more action from Egypt and Assassin Bayek, then you're in luck.

The first downloadable content (DLC) for Assassin’s Creed Origins, will launch TOMORROW - January 23rd, 2018 - across all platforms.

Titled, The Hidden Ones, this story-driven expansion will builds upon the growth of the Brotherhood, taking players four years after the events of Assassin’s Creed Origins, as they clash with an occupying Roman force in a new region of the world, the Sinai.

In addition, this expansion will increase the level cap to 45, allowing players to continue to upgrade and customise their character further.

Players will also have access to four new Legendary weapons, a new outfit, two new mounts and multiple new weapons, as well as two new levels for all crafted gear.

If you opted into buying the season pass or any editions of the game which included the season pass, then you don't have to do anything but download the game when the update becomes available.

However,  The Hidden Ones DLC is also available separately on January 23, 2018.

Although Ubisoft has specified that the games new DLC will launch January 23, 2018, they haven't mentioned what time players will be able to not only pre-load the new content but also when they'll be able to start playing.

A quick look at the knowledgeable folk on the Assassin's Creed Reddit page has given us some idea though.

"No preloads. 7-8GB worth of data from what we could hear from the lucky few who got it," wrote one user.

"Xbox users will probably be able to access it midnight since Microsoft seemed to prepare the page for it, while PS4 god knows. It could be a midnight release or wait until tomorrow's usual times [11AM GMT], that's up to SIE.

"I don't expect PC to get it until tomorrow 3-5PM GMT for UPlay and a couple hours later for Steam though, sadly."

Stay tuned for more details on the pre-load and release as soon as we learn more.

Looking towards the future, Ubisoft has also outlined their plans and release dates for upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins post-launch content, including the new Discovery Tou/Museum mode as well as Origins' second DLC.

"People can discover and explore a world free of conflict, time pressure or gameplay constraints, where storyline and quests are not active and the world of Ancient Egypt evolves into a combat-free living museum.

"Discovery Tour will be available as a free update for all Assassin’s Creed Origins owners and will be available for purchase separately on Uplay and Steam for Windows PC on February 20th, 2018.
